Harold W. Blomberg
May 15, 1928 - April 09, 2011

Foxborough – Harold W. Blomberg, age 82, died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Caritas Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. Harry was the son of the late Herman and Hanna (Olsson) Blomberg.

Harry was born on May 15, 1928 in Hyde Park. Harry was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, Class of 1946. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was employed as an order entry engineer at the Foxboro Company for thirty three years. He married his late wife Harriet (Parsons) on June 14, 1952 at the Methodist Church in Franklin, MA.

Harry was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Hyde Park. He served on the Planning Board, Board of Health and the Conservation Commission, all in Foxborough. He enjoyed feeding birds, was an avid collector and enjoyed sports.

Loving father of Martha J. Blomberg of Seattle, WA, Carl H. and his wife Helaine Blomberg of Winthrop,. David C. and his wife Dawn Blomberg of Woodinville, WA and John E. and Marna Blomberg of Pembroke. Grandfather of Jeremy, Rebecca, Anders, Niklas, Hans-Erik, Julia and Sophia Blomberg. Brother of the late Alice D. Branagan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dear friend of the late Irene Willard.

Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, April 15 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
