Another April vacation, another cottage burnt down. Last Thursday night the cottage in the corner next to the long light green cottage burnt. Nothing left but a hole in the ground and scorched trees and brush. |

From past happenings, no they can not rebuild. They are too close to the water, or so they say. With the State who knows the real reason. |

It's funny how these all burn down without burning down the forest. Pretty controlled burn. Hmmm. _________________ Chip |

I have to believe it's kids - not that they intentionally burned it down, but maybe they broke in and something got out of control.n n I can't imagine an "owner" doing it. It's not their home, so they probably don't have homeowner's insurance. And something has to cause a fire. _________________ Pat Traynor pat@ssih.com |

Well, I just got back from camp and it is still there. John and I can attest to that since we were both there doing different things. John, removing broken limbs and fallen trees and me getting my place ready to occupy. It was a cool day(55 derees in the shade)but. a cool day at camp is better than a warm day at the office. You should see the pond. It is above last years level by about a foot and a half up the shoreline. There is a fixed object at Bob Prince's place for reference. The lower beach is looking a bit skimpy so that means time to steak your ground. Out with the blankets and chairs. Looks like the new section is developing quite nicely. Several trailers in place and final utilities finishing up. Going to interesting at the beach. Season opens in 3 weeks. C'mon Sun......... _________________ The FGM (The Fairhaven Gas Man) |

Pond is way up. Fence at stateside is way in the water. Beaches getting smaller. Mabe some long legged chairs to sit over the water will help. Maybe a large float. _________________ The FGM (The Fairhaven Gas Man) |
