Nancy,n You will need 4x4 to get in there but it isn't too bad. It'sbeen plowed. Walking is the worst. Thigh deep snow in most spots. Tough to get around. We got as far as Fred Coles then down to main beach and the rec area. John Clarke has a tree down with not too much damage. Other than that just a crapload of snow. _________________ Chip |

The snow seems pretty easy to move but there may be things buried that you can't see. _________________ Chip |

Great photos Chip. Did you get a chance to look at my place? I really find it hard to believe my tarp made it through that storm. |

Hi Mary Ellen,n I didn't notice any damage from the street. Even Jack's carport is still up. So far so good. _________________ Chip |

I think that this blizzard isn't as damaging as a plain hurricane. With a hurricane, you've got these big tarps acting like sails and thrashing the campsites. With the snow weighing them down, they can't blow around. And the steady weight (albeit great) of the snow isn't as stressful as a sudden yank from a gust of wind. _________________ Pat Traynor pat@ssih.com |

Sorry Pat I have to disagree, went to camp today whew thats a work out gettin to the pit.My roof almost went down, walls bowed out atleast 8 inches.n n Spent 4.5 hrs shoveling only got half the roof done, and no we din't plow our way in ,that was'nt gonna work.n n Now I think I know how the pilgrims felt out in the woods with a ton of snow, but atleast I had electricity for heat loln n It looks like we are just going to have to wait to get anything done deep in camp.Every camp I looked at seemed fine its just me I guess, nothing a little jacking and pullling can't curen n Can't wait for spring whew i'm tired lol.n n JP _________________ Carol,John & Nickn The Pit Crew |

I added some extra winter support a couple of years ago when I got a little dip in my ridge beam from snow and ice. Made a difference. _________________ Chip |
