I am sorry to pass along the sad news that Joan Carlson passed away on Sunday, November 25th. Unfortunately I do not have any additional details. As many of you know, Joan was one of the first campers at Blueberry Hill back in 1959. She lived in Kingston, MA. If I get any more information, I will pass it along.

Joan G. Carlson, of Kingston, a longtime employee of the Raytheon Company, passed away Nov. 25, 2012. She was 87 years old. Beloved wife of the late Richard E. Carlson, she was the loving mother of Richard E. Carlson Jr. and William Carlson and his wife Lorraine; sister of Elizabeth Norling and the late Margaret Schneider and George White; daughter of the late George and Serephine White. Joan was the cherished grandmother of six; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, from 3-7 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rte. 106), Kingston. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, Kingston, Friday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a .
