Do you think the state intends to close down the permit program for the cabins around curlew, widgeon, and college ponds. Do you think this would be good, bad, unfair, etc.n n If you think the state is going to do this - how many years in the future do you think they are going to terminate the cottage permit program. Thanks. |

I don't think the State would close down the cottages. They only make money for the state.I have always heard they are 99 year leases?? I'm not sure though. |

Could somebody fill me in on why they are preventing buying/selling of the cottages after 2005 then? I look on MLS and see several of these cottages up for sale. I could see myself getting a cottage, but not if x years down the road they discontinue the leases. What would happen then - would you have to take your cottage out on a flatbed?n n Also, could somebody also point me to information about the terms of the leases (i.e., when/how the cottage can be used, fees, etc)? Thanks.... |

I would contact the State Offices for Parks and Recreations. |

I checked with Parks and Recreation. If the permit program is terminated, you get two choices:n 1. Remove your cottage from the park;n 2. Abandon it. |

No. But I was considering trying to buy one. But now I'm not so sure. I really love Myles Standish and the ponds but the asking prices are just too much to risk. |
