The recent weather has given me the itch to get outside and specifically camp. Starting to hear birds, the snow is melting. February is gone. Anyone else feeling it.

Steve,n If by original you mean since birth, there are not too many "originals". Including me. You get what it's about which makes you more of a camper than some "originals" in my eyes.

I think lots of things make someone an "original"n n -somebody remembers you being at camp before you even remember being at campn -riding out a hurricane after everyone leavesn -gashing your foot on an old bottle at lower beach. twice.n -one word: propanen -continuing an argument with someone you haven't seen for 20 yearsn -you think you're in trouble everytime you see a gray-haired lady with a dog in a station wagonn -you stay up all night tending the bonfiren -you tear up at the phrase "beanhole beans"n -you feel like you never have enough woodn -one word: hammock n n -Steve "not Steve-not-Traynor" Traynor

Nice list! I don't remember much what the old lady looked like. The car is etched in my memory though. I was told she had a shotgun with her and to run when I saw the car. That was enough for me. Upon capture I was to give first name, rank serial number and fake birth certificate stating I was nephew of Jim and Louise Traynor. I just told her I was Beaver Abner and took off.n n Don't forget Golf Parades and men dressing up as women. I really miss those days. LOL
